21-Sep-2008
Licensees in and around Northants are invited to discuss ‘the state we’re in’ at a business boosting seminar and networking event being hosted by the central region of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector. The event is taking place from 10am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 7th October 2008 at Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa near Towcester in Northants.
The seminar will feature a top line-up of speakers, ensuring exceptional value for money and guaranteed great advice for every attendee. The itinerary includes:
-
Caroline Nodder ABII, editor of The Publican newspaper, who will give an overview of the current pub trade and ‘the state we’re in’
-
Professor Phil Leather of Nottingham University, one of the country’s leading experts on identifying and combating stress
-
Award-winning licensee Paul Clerehugh FBII, who will share his business building and money saving tips
-
Martin Dinkele from Cardinal Research, discussing trends, first impressions of pubs, customer loyalty, brand loyalty and how to increase footfall
-
2008 Licensee of the Year Chris Lewis FBII, sharing his tips for success through diversification and business excellence
-
Stuart Sayer MBII of Christie’s, who will advise about the clarity and condition of leases prior to expiry/renewal
The event is sponsored by Greene King and supported by Cobra beer. Tickets include lunch and are just £20 for BII members and £25 for non-member – deliberately kept low so as not to burn a hole in already singed licensees’ pockets! For more details visit www.bii.org/events or call Tim Palmer on 01202 242714 or 07771 560922.
BII has over 41,000 provisional and permanent members throughout the UK and each of its 16 regions organises regular events to ensure licensed retailers remain up-to-date with industry developments. Central Region chairman Bernard Brindley CMBII welcomes members and non-members to benefit from the tips and advice on offer and to make the most of the opportunity to network with other licensees and industry professionals.
