BII Wessex Region visits Haynes Motor Museum for a day of networking

The British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) Wessex Region is holding a networking day at Haynes Motor Museum, Yeovil on Tuesday June 25, 2002. The seminar has a line up of speakers to help local licensees assess their business strategy.

John McNamara, chief executive of the BII will open the day by discussing the BII’s future plans and initiatives and how they will continue to support licensees to enable them to run professional businesses. He will be followed by Oliver Griffiths from the AIR (Atmosphere Improves Results) campaign who will be explaining to delegates why it is essential to adopt a voluntary code of practice for smokers in UK pubs.

The afternoon session will begin with a presentation from Malcolm Bell, chief executive of South West Tourism. He will talk to guests about the initiatives that the tourist board has undertaken to revitalise the region since the foot and mouth crisis.

Guests can then relax and socialise over a buffet lunch, with the opportunity to view the fascinating collection of cars, motorcycles and memorabilia at the museum which you can book, when you reserve your place. Tickets for the event cost £15, and are available by calling Laura Janes at the BII on 01276 417825 or by e-mail at laura@bii.org. ends] ../more over
