BII Welsh Region leads the way for professional licensed retailing

The British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) Welsh Region is holding a networking event to promote a range of initiatives, benefits and business building ideas for local licensees. The event will take place at The St David’s Hotel and Spa, Cardiff on Tuesday May 28, 2002.

John McNamara, chief executive of the BII, will take the stage to update some of the BII’s Welsh members on how the BII is continuing to build high standards and professionalism for the licensed retail sector and will be highlighting future BII initiatives. He will be followed by the BII’s head of membership recruitment, David Miners, who will be discussing in more detail member benefits, and how they can achieve profit growth in business.

The importance of social responsibility and its role in the day to day running of a business will be discussed by John Melia, client development director at the BII. John will be explaining to guests the benefits of local authorities, magistrates, police and licensees all working in partnership to provide a safer environment for late night businesses and allowing economies in Wales to develop to their full potential.
