St Austell Brewery Co Ltd announced as a winner in the BII 2001 NITAs, held in association with the Morning Advertiser

St Austell Brewery Co Ltd has been announced as the winner of the Best Targeted Training Course Designed to Improve Social Responsibility in the BII 2001 NITAs (Rewarding Training Excellence in Licensed Retailing) held in association with the licensed retail trade newspaper, Morning Advertiser.

The Award for the Best Course Designed to Address Social Responsibility Issues has been developed in this year's competition, to ascertain the organisation that has the best training course to reflect Government strategy for dealing with alcohol-related crime and disorder issues.

The winners were announced today (March 22) at a prestigious awards ceremony that took place at the Café Royal, London, in front of an audience of high profile industry guests. The awards are run by the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) and aim to recognise those at the pinnacle of training for the on-licensed retail sector. A full list of winners and finalists is enclosed.

There are eight categories in the BII 2001 NITAs catering for all pub retail companies, both large and small, as well as individual licensees and training organisations. The judges of the competition were looking for evidence that training objectives and outcomes were achieved by maximising the use of resources available.
