BII’s 25th Anniversary Annual Luncheon is a sell-out

BII’s 25th Anniversary Annual Luncheon, sponsored by SKY, on 9 May 2006 at the Grosvenor House, London, was sold out within weeks of announcing the date. BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and the event will be a celebration for members and their guests, as well as other supporters of BII.

The principal guest of honour at this year’s special event is John Grogan MP CMBII, chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group. Mr Grogan will address over a thousand BII members and their guests on his work with the licensed trade.

Mr Grogan, as Chairman of the All Party Group, has provided a vital link between the licensed trade and Parliament during a period of transition for the whole industry.

John McNamara CMBII, BII Chief Executive said, “The BII Annual Luncheon is always seen as the highlight of our annual calendar and this year we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary with a sell-out audience of our members and their guests. BII members have faced a tough year in 2005 with licensing reform, this event is an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and to look forward positively to the next 25 years.

He added, “We are honoured to welcome John Grogan MP as our principal guest. This is the second time Mr Grogan has addressed our members and he is very welcome again. He continues to work tirelessly for a greater understanding of the licensed trade and will have an interesting view on the future.”
